Throughout their lives, art collectors Peter and lrene Ludwig have collected more than 14,000 works of art ranging from Egyptian and ancient art to international contemporary art. Today, the collection is spread across 26 public museums in three continents. Twelve institutions, for example in Aachen, Cologne, Berlin, Wien, Basel, Havanna bear the name Ludwig.
