The motto of the exhibition and event series "The Best of All Worlds" comes from Voltaire's satirical novella "Candide ou l'optimisme", published in 1759. Based on Voltaire's argument that the world does not become fairer through a reliance on the good, but through an active, self-determined society, the series asks questions about the possibilities of optimism and today's conditions and visions of an ideal world.
